Jury review evidence in murder trial of 2 jockeys

3:14pm 18th May 2010
(Updated 5:14pm 19th May 2010)

The jury in the trial of a man, accused of murdering two young jockeys in a flat fire in Norton, has been sent out to consider its verdicts.

37 year old Peter Brown from Brotherton denies starting a fire at Buckrose Court last September which killed Jamie Kyne and Jan Wilson.

Leeds Crown Court has heard he was drunk and torched the complex in revenge after he wasn't allowed into a party in one of the flats.

So far the jury at Leeds Crown Court have been deliberating on the verdict for seven hours, after failing to reach a decision yesterday afternoon.

This morning they requested to review CCTV footage again before resuming their deliberations.
