Grogan looks back
8:19am 4th May 2010
As election campaigning for 2010 gets into its final 48 hours the retiring MP for Selby John Grogan has been reflecting on his time representing the town
John was part of the Labour landslide in 1997, and went on to represent Selby for 13 years.
He's told Minster fm after the expenses scandal that shook Westminster he's pleased he can hold his head up in his old Constituency. Mr Grogan didn't have to pay anything back.
His other big memory is voting against the Government for the first time over the war in Iraq.
Mr Grogan believes as the boundaries are changing this election it is time for him to bow out. However he’s not ruling out a return to life as an MP in a future election
