Man up in court over the death of 2 Jockeys in North Yorkshire

Man up in court over the death of 2 Jockeys in North Yorkshire

11:25am 26th April 2010

The trail of a man, accused of murdering two up-and-coming jockeys from North Yorkshire, will get underway at Leeds Crown Court later.

37 year old Peter Brown from Brotherton is charged with killing 18 year old Jamie Kyne and 19 year old Jan Wilson after they died in a flat fire in Norton last September. The teenagers were training to be jockeys and the incident shook the racing world.

We understand the prosecution is considering alternative charges for Brown of manslaughter and arson with intent to endanger life.

The trials expected to last two weeks.
