MINSTER FM EXCLUSIVE: Teenagers with offensive weapons in North Yorkshire

Twenty youngsters have been stopped by police in North Yorkshire in the last twelve months for carrying an offensive weapon.
All twenty are under the age of 18, so we can't name them.
But the youngest was just 13 from York, found brandising a pair of garden secateurs.
Overall there's been SIX offences committed in York and Selby.
They included the use of an iron bar, a knife, knuckledusters and a pool cue.
A full list of the incidents in North Yorkshire is below.
Harrogate (two incidents) 15 year old with a golf club, a 17 year old with a knuckleduster.
Leeds (one incidents that fell under North Yorkshire Police's domain) 16 year old with a knife.
Northallerton (two incidents) A 16 and a 17 year old both found with knives.
Richmond (two incidents) a 15 year old with a knife and a 15 year old with multi-tools and a lock-knife.
Ripon (two incidents) a 15 year old with a knife and a 17 year old where the weapon has not been kept on the custody record.
Scarborough (three offences) a 14 year old with a beer bottle, a 17 year old with an iron bar and a 16 year old with a samuri sword.
Selby (one incident) a 14 year old with a pool cue.
Settle (one incident) a 17 year old with a piece of wood.
Whitby (one incident) a 16 year old with a golf club.
York (five incidents) a 17 year old with an iron bar, a 16 year old with a knife, two 16 year olds with knuckledusters, and a 13 year old with secateurs.
