Robbery in Wiggington

A snatch-and-grab robbery in Wiggington, as a man runs off with cash from a shop.
Detectives say it happened on Sunday night just after 9pm at Wigginton Village Stores.
No one was threatened or injured in the incident - but a shop employee was push and left shaken.
The suspect ran off towards Haxby.
He's described as white, around 6ft tall with blond hair. He was wearing brown suede trainers, dark blue jeans, a grey fleece-type jacket with a camouflage hoodie underneath and a beanie hat with a green and blue diamond pattern.
Detective Sergeant Clive Rich, of York CID said "I believe that the offender may be from the local area and would urge anyone who can help identify him or help the investigation should get in touch immediately.”
