North Yorkshire Police are asking members of the public to report any sightings of missing 15-year-old Kiera Meldrum.

Kiera was reported missing from the Humberside area on Monday 20 October, however, police believe she is now in the York area.

She is described as white, around 5ft tall, with long, brown hair and hazel coloured eyes.

Kiera has made contact with her family via text messages, however, officers are concerned for her safety due to her age and the length of time she has been missing.

Inspector Ed Noble of North Yorkshire Police, said: “I would like to make a direct appeal to Kiera to make contact and return home. Kiera, you are not in any trouble at all, but people are very worried about you. Please get in touch with the police and let us know where you are.

“I am also appealing to anyone who knows where Kiera could be, to contact us without delay.”

Kiera and anyone with information is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1 and pass information to the Force Control Room.
