Growing numbers of overweight kids in North Yorkshire could be a ticking health bomb.
Health officials at North Yorkshire and York PCT say we have to "nip childhood obesity in the bud before it escalates out of control."
They've revealed 8.2 % of kids in reception schools in the county are overweight, and that jumps to 16.3 % of 10 year olds.
In the long run they could be loooking at problems like liver disease or diabetes.
The City of York Council are looking at what more they can do to tackle the issue this afternoon.
