Teenager Thrown Through Car Window in York Crash

A 16 year old boy is being treated for serious head injuries in hospital this afternoon after a crash in Haxby which saw him thrown through a car window.

Another 16 year old boy, who was sat in the front passenger seat of the green Citroen Saxo, is in York Hospital being treated for a serious hand injury.

Three other teenagers who were in the car have been treated for minor injuries.

It's after their car went into a hedge on Towthorpe Road at 8.50pm last night. The road was closed for several hours after the crash while police carried out investigations and re-opened at 3.05am.

Police are asking who saw the green Citroen Saxo before the crash to contact them on 101, selection option 2 and ask for Kenneth England. He can also be contacted on e-mail at kenneth.england@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk and quoting reference number 121120154513.
