Police Appeal For Information After Helmsley Burglary

Both incidents occurred at houses on Riccall Drive, Helmsley on Thursday 26 July and Monday 4 August 2014.
The thieves stole jewellery including a gold Egyptian cartouche necklace on a gold chain, a silver Pandora necklace, a gold Hot diamond necklace and earring set, a solid heart shaped pendant with small diamonds and matching stud earrings and a white metal pocket watch. Also taken was a camcorder containing video footage of a family’s holiday.
Detective Constable Clair Gascoyne, of Malton CID, said:
“If you have seen anyone acting in a suspicious manner in the Riccall Drive area around the time of the attempted burglary in July or the August burglary, I urge you to come forward and contact the police as you may have vital information which could help my investigation."
“I am also keen to speak to anyone who has been offered any items matching the description of the stolen property and ask them to get in touch.”
