York Man Arrested Accused of Hitting Two Police Officers and Third Person

A York man's been arrested on suspicion of hitting two police officers who were in the process of arresting him on suspicion of hitting another person.
It happened on Nessgate at 2.50pm this afternoon.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: “A 20-year-old York man has been arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and the assault of two police officers."
“The arrest follows an incident on Nessgate at 2.50pm on Friday 8 August 2014, after the man was stopped by a Police Community Support Officer, who had witnessed him committing an alleged assault."
“The man then resisted arrest when officers arrived at the scene.”
