Motorcyclist Injured in Collision Near York

The motorcyclist, a 59-year-old local man, sustained injuries to his head and legs when his blue Kawasaki Ninja collided with a white Citroen DS4 on Towthorpe Road at around 5pm on Sunday 27 July 2014.
He was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A passenger in the Citroen suffered minor injuries in the incident.
Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle prior to the incident to contact them with information.
Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Traffic Constable Lee Cobb or Tadcaster Roads Policing Group.
