(Updated 6:31am 24th July 2014)

With this investigation very much active, and with the possibility that further arrests will be made, it is extremely important that the media and the public do not publish or broadcast anything on traditional media platforms or on social and digital sites, that could compromise the enquiry or the legal rights of those connected to the case and involved in these proceedings.

Your attention is drawn to the previous North Yorkshire Police media statement -  http://www.northyorkshire.police.uk/13587  - about responsible reporting in line with the Contempt of Court Act, and the fact, to date, nobody has been charged with any criminal act relating to the case.

Please note, the 59-year-old man arrested on 13 May 2014 on suspicion of murdering Claudia Lawrence remains on police bail while enquires continue.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1, and pass details to the Force Control Room. Please quote “Claudia Lawrence” when passing on details.

Information can also be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111,quoting “Claudia Lawrence, North Yorkshire Police”.  Alternatively, go to www.crimestoppers-uk.org and fill in an Anonymous Online Form.

A £10,000 Crimestoppers reward is still available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Claudia’s disappearance.
