North Yorkshire Cliff Death Man Named
3:38pm 22nd July 2014
The man who died after falling from cliffs at Kettleness near Runswick Bay on Friday has been named as Malcolm Hall, also known as Mac, who was aged 51 from Skelton near Saltburn.
His family have paid tribute to Mac in a statement saying:
On Friday 18 July our family was devastated by the sudden and tragic death of Mac. Not only have we lost a son, brother, dad, granddad and uncle, we have also lost a friend who loved his family dearly and was always there for us whenever we needed him, no matter what.
It is a small comfort to us knowing that Mac died doing something that he loved.
He will be terribly missed by us and his wide circle of friends who we would like to thank for their kind words of comfort, love and support.
Mac’s sudden death has saddened our family and we would like to left in peace so that we can grieve in private and come to terms with this painful loss.
We would request that the media respect our privacy and do not try to contact us at this difficult time.
