(Updated 3:28pm 16th July 2014)
The Met Office says there's a 50:50 chance of an official heatwave in North Yorkshire this week.
It comes as the forecasters and health officials issue an alert in the Midlands and South, but here in North Yorkshire we're just being urged to be prepared for the heat.
The Met Office says it doesn't expect temperatures to reach 29 Celsius during the day or 15 Celsius during the night, which would be an official heatwave. But it will be hot on Friday and humid overnight into Saturday.
