York Maze To Unveil A-MAZE-ing Theme For This Year

Yorkshire has much to be proud of, the largest county in the UK, the most successful county cricket team, and following last weekend the greatest ever start to the Tour de France. Yorkshire folk are also renowned for their no-nonsense straight talking, and it is this trait that is being celebrated with a giant maize maze dedicated to Yorkshire.
This year’s York Maze features giant images of three Yorkshire legends; no-nonsense cricket commentator Geoffrey Boycott, loud-mouthed Top Gear presenter Jeremey Clarkson, and larger than life actor and adventurer Brian Blessed, known for being loud but in a different kind of way. Each head is over 50m in diameter and each has been carefully cut out of the 18 acre field containing over one million living maize plants. Between the heads are giant Yorkshire Roses.
