6:48pm 9th July 2014
Derwent Training Association (DTA) have taken delivery of a purpose built Hydraulics Training Bench. The bench was designed and manufactured by Hydrastore Ltd, Doncaster, using DTA specifications to meet a demand from local employers for industrial hydraulics training. Bob Hardie, Trainer/Assessor at DTA said
“This bench will allow our apprentices the opportunity to translate the theory of fluid power into practical circuits, which is the type of training our employers want”.
“Even though it has only just been delivered we are seeing an increased demand for apprentices already. We have had a lot of support from local employers.”
The Bench was funded by a grant from Ryedale District Councils Ryedale Apprenticeship Project 2013.
“This piece of equipment will play a key role in developing practical skills for many people,” added Cllr Linda Cowling, Leader of Ryedale District Council.
