3:06pm 23rd June 2014
The North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce is calling for any new High Speed Three rail line to come to York.
Chancellor George Osborne called for a new high speed line connecting Manchester and Leeds, saying it would create an "economic powerhouse" in the North to counterbalance London.
No details or timetable for the new rail line have been released but David Cameron has backed the plans.
Susie Cawood from the York & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce tells Minster FM she's hoping the line will be extended to York.
