Lorry Driver Urged to Come Forward As Motorcycle Passenger Dies in York

Police investigating a fatal collision in which a pillion passenger died have renewed their appeal for the driver of an articulated lorry to contact them.
A 39-year-old Rotherham woman died when the Honda motorcycle she was travelling on, left the road on the A1237 at Knapton, at around 11.15am on Sunday 22 June 2014.
The rider of the motorcycle, a man who is also from the Rotherham area, was hurt in the collision but his injuries are not life-threatening.
It is known that the bike overtook a HGV prior to leaving the road and officers are appealing for the driver to contact them.
The lorry is described as a curtain-sided lorry with red curtains and a white rear doors.
The driver of the vehicle could be an important witness to the events which led to the collision and police want to speak to them as a matter of urgency.
