Farm Dog Stolen Near Helmsley
10:46am 16th June 2014
At sometime during Thursday 12 June 2014, a small black and tan Lakeland Terrier cross bitch, called Judy, went missing from the farm and it believed she has been stolen.
This is the second time a dog has disappeared from the farm.
Officers are investigating and are appealing to anyone with information that can help the investigation to come forward.
PC Melony Pitchford, of Helmsley police, said:
“The dogs are working farm dogs as well as treasured family members and the theft of these dogs is not only upsetting but impacts on the running of the farm.
“If you know anything about the theft of these dogs or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around 12 June 2014 then please contact the police or Crimestoppers.”
Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Melony Pitchford or Helmsley police.
Alternatively, information can be emailed to email@example.com
