The roadworks at the roundabout of the A59 junction of the Outer Ring Road are set to be a month overdue, with the latest estimates suggesting they will be completed just a week before the Tour de France comes to the city.

People living nearby are being warned to prepare for overnight roadworks which will take place on and off until 25th June. The city council says it's contractors Belfour Beatty will keep disruption to a minimum but are warning rollers and pavers will have to be used during the night.

  • Week Commencing Monday 16th June - working mainly around the junction of the A59 with Station Road, Poppleton using temporary traffic signals 8pm to 6am
