Police Investigate Distraction Burglary in Malton

Malton police are appealing for information after a distraction theft from a shop in the town.
It occurred art around 2.30pm on Thursday 29 May 2014, at Wallis Business Services, Yorkersgate.
Three men entered the premises, when it is believed two of them distracted staff members while the third man stole money from the cash register.
The only description of the men is that one of them was tall with a large build, long dark hair and was wearing a leather jacket. Another of the men had dark hair, which was brushed back, and was wearing a knee length quilted coat.
PC Jane Jones, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you were in Yorkersgate area at the time of the theft and noticed anyone acting suspiciously I urge you to contact the police straight away.
“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone else working in local businesses, who may have been visited by this group, and ask them to get in touch as soon as possible.”
