Plans For Flood Defences in York To Be Looked at Again

Plans for an eight foot high wall by the river in York to protect against flooding could be looked at again.
The proposals were originally rejected around 25 years ago, but after floods in 2000 and 2012 people living by the water want action.
York Central MP Hugh Bayley has set up a new group of locals and officials to look at flooding and says all options are being looked at.
Mr Bayley told Minster FM he thinks it is important that the plans are re-considered:
