Woman Rescued After Going Into River Ouse in York

A woman has been rescued by two members of the public from the River Ouse in Clifton.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: “Officers were called just after 11.10am on Monday 19 April 2014, following a report that a woman had jumped from Clifton Bridge, into the River Ouse."

“She was rescued by two members of the public at 11.15am."

“All three people are safe and out of the water."

“The woman is being treated by paramedics.”
