11:17am 14th May 2014
Searches are continuing at a house on Burnholme Grove in York this morning, while police continue to question a 59 year old man arrested yesterday on suspicion of the murder of Claudia Lawrence.
North Yorkshire Police is still refusing to confirm or deny if the search at Burnholme Grove, and at a second house in North Shields on Tyneside are linked to the Claudia Lawrence investigation.
Forensic officers have been seen coming out of the house and also in the back garden of the property. Yesterday, several bags of items were removed from the house by police.
It comes as the spokesman for Claudia's dad Peter Lawrence has warned against "irresponsible" speculation by the media and the public.
Martin Dales has urged the media to be responsible in their coverage of the latest developments in the Claudia investigation.
