Police Appeal For Witnesses After Cyclist Is Attacked In York

The victim blew his horn as a warning to the other cyclist who came back and kicked his bike twice, knocking him to the ground, before riding of towards Heworth Green.

The victim suffered minor cuts in the incident.

The offending cyclist is described as a white man, aged in his mid-20s, around 5ft 10in tall, with a medium build and dark stubble. He was wearing a light-coloured hooded top with the hood up and dark bottoms. He was riding a red mountain bike.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them with information.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Tony Barnes or York police.
