Police Investigate Arson In York

The fire service were called to the blaze at around 8pm on Monday 17 March 2014, in a private field adjacent to Haxby Road, near Joseph Rowntree School.
Observations by fire officers at the scene suggest that the fire may have been started deliberately, causing £150 worth of damage to the farmer’s crops.
Officers are appealing to anyone with information about the fire to contact them with information.
Anyone who can help the investigation is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC David Lingwood or York police.
