Prevention and education were the main points discussed at the meeting last night which was looking at ways to makes the rivers in York safer.

Letters were read out that were sent from the mum of York student Megan Roberts and the girlfriend of Ben Clarkson.

Ways of highlighing the risks were looked in to and the group will meet again to decide the next steps to take plans forward.
