Malton To Celebrate Making Beer Again With BEERTOWN Event
10:06am 22nd March 2014
Malton's two newest brewries, Bad Seed and Brass Castle are hosting an event to celebrate Malton making beer again.
The BEERTOWN event which is being held at the town's Milton Rooms will be showcasing various different ales from around the country including brands Kernel, Magic Rock, Tiny Rebel, as well as Brass Castle and Bad Seed's own nationally renowned wares.
There will be something for everyone and plenty for the beer novice and seasoned ale drinker alike.
The four brewers from Brass Castle and Bad Seed will be on hand to offer advice and guidance about different types of beer and help everyone who attends to join the UK beer revolution.
Phil Saltonstall for Brass Castle Brewery told Minster FM: "I am really excited for ourselves and our good friends just across the road at Bad Seed Brewery teaming up for this event and hope our efforts will put Malton back on the beer map."
Local artisan food businesses Malton Relish, Hayloft Foods and Haxby Bakehouse have been working hard to develop a menu of top notch street food to compliment the beer selections.
There will also be live music across the event with performances by Lumberjack Cowboy Heartbreak Trucking Company, Hull's The Shiznitz and York's The Patron Saints.
The event will run on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 March 2014 in the town's Milton Rooms. Tickets are selling fast via the website www.beertown.moonfruit.com or you can buy tickets through Malton's Tourist Information Centre on 01653 600048.
