No Comment on Claims Crew Filming for BBC Caused Traffic Jam on A64 Near Tadcaster

A64 Dual Carriageway

11:07am 17th March 2014

There has been no comment on claims a crew filming for the BBC caused a traffic jam on the A64 near Tadcaster.

Last Thursday, there were three crashes in just one day on the road bringing misery to many drivers.

But just as traffic was improving, during the evening rush hour at 5:30pm, several Minster FM listeners rang us to say there were new traffic jams caused by people watching a film crew.

North Yorkshire Police says it was probably a crew from the BBC show Traffic Cops who were causing the disruption.

Mentorn Media, who make the show for the BBC, declined to comment when Minster FM contacted them.
