York Drivers Warned Of Travel Problems As Protest March Takes Place
9:33am 8th March 2014
Drivers in York are being warned of travel problems and possible traffic delays in the city as a TUC protest march takes place.
York's Lendal Bridge has been re-opened to traffic for today only in order to allow the two thousand people to march past the Liberal Democrat spring conference at the Barbican.
Lee Wilkes from the York TUC spoke to Minster FM and has this message for motorists: "There could be a possible degree of disruption but we've tried to minimise that in consultation with the police and council."
Minster FM will keep listeners updated on the roads throughout the day in the travel news.
