"We Are All Carrying Megan In Our Hearts" - Missing Megan's Mum
7:14am 3rd February 2014
The mum of missing York student Megan Roberts has thanked the police and the public for their help and support.
Posting on the Help find Megan Roberts Facebook page, Jackie Roberts said:
"Thank you for all your support and kind thoughts. The police have been amazing, they are doing all they can to find her. We've been given as much information as the police can give us and all evidence does point towards this being a tragic run of events with no one to blame. Until we know for certain, we all have hope, but whatever the outcome we are all carrying Megan in our hearts. This is a very difficult time and, as a family we will always be thankful for everyone's love and support and caring thoughts for my beautiful daughter xx"
20 year old Megan has not been seen since the early hours of Thursday 23rd January. She disappeared after a night out with friends. Police believe it is likely Megan fell into the River Ouse after a night of drinking.
Police divers have spent several days searching the banks of the River Ouse for Megan, with searches along the banks on both sides of the river over the weekend.
Anyone with information about Megan’s disappearance is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 1 – and pass information to the Force Control Room.
