York soldier in court on charge of going AWOL

A York soldier has had the charge of desertion against him dropped - instead hes up in Court on a charge of going absent without leave.

Lance Corporal Joe Glenton refused to return to Afghanistan back in 2007.

His charge was down graded after his medical team revealled he was suffering from post traumatic stress disorder.

His Mum Sue has told Minster fm she fears many more soldiers are suffering like her son.
