Police Speak to Two Boys After Malton Playgrounds Vandalised

Police investigating after two school playgrounds in Malton were vandalised last weekend have spoken to two boys.
The pair, aged 12 and 13, were spoken to by officers carrying out their investigation which is continuing today.
Officers have also thanked local people and Malton Primary and St Mary's schools for their support as they continue to investigate damage caused to their playgrounds over the over the weekend.
PC Mark Rees said: “This incident has caused a lot of upset within the local community and we are determined to bring the case to a swift conclusion. The response from local people has been very supportive and I would like to thank everyone who has come forward with information.
“Beat manager PC Jane Jones who has been heavily involved in the investigation will be visiting both schools involved to reassure all the children affected but the incident.”
