CCTV Released After York Designer Outlet Theft
7:39am 30th January 2014
York police have re-released a CCTV image of two suspects they want to trace following the theft of designer clothing from one of the city’s shopping centres.
It occurred at around 1.30pm on Sunday 22 December 2013, from the Hugo Boss store at McArthurGlen.
The pair are believed to have entered the shop before placing a number of Hugo Boss jumpers, valued at around £350, into bags they were carrying and leaving the store without paying for them.
They are a woman described as white, aged in her late forties or early fifties, with a slim build and shoulder length blonde hair, and a white man who is around the same age, with grey hair and a large build.
PC Tony Barnes, of York Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you recognise either of the people caught on camera I urge you to contact the police straight away.
“I am also keen to speak to the people themselves. If there has been some confusion and they are not responsible for the theft, I urge them to get in touch so that I can eliminate them from my enquires. A number of enquiries have been made following an earlier appeal, however the suspects have not been traced.”
Anyone who can assist with this enquiry should contact York police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Tony Barnes. Alternatively, information can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting reference number 12130221184.
