Woman Abused in the Street in Kirkbymoorside

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was abused in the street in Kirkbymoorside.

The woman, aged 25, was pushing a pushchair in Market Place, at around 4.50pm on Thursday 16 January 2014, when she approached by two youths outside Help the Aged.

The youths verbally abused the woman before walking off when she went into the shop.

Officers believe that another woman who was standing close by witnessed the incident and may have information that can help their investigation.

They are urging her and anyone else who may have witnessed the incident to come forward with information.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Andy Pomfret or Helmsley police.
