Safety Advice Issued After Whitley Attempted Burglary

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information about an attempted burglary that occurred in Whitley near Selby.
Between Friday 17 January and 10.30am on Sunday 19 January 2014, burglars attempted to break into a house on Millfields, Doncaster Road Whitley. The owner of the detached house noticed that the door handle to his back door had been removed in an attempt to gain entry to the property.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have heard or witnessed this offence taking place or seen any suspicious people or vehicles in the area over the weekend to contact them.
