A woman from Huntington's been found guilty of neglecting ten horses.
York magistrates convicted Kathleen Thornton in her absence of 23 charges of failing to look after animals. Magistrates also issued a bail warrant for the pensioner.
RSPCA inspector Keira Benham says the horses were kept in appalling conditions.
The 64 year old could be disqualified from keeping animals when she's sentenced next month.
