Shop owners in Easingwold have ‘show stopping’ window displays this Christmas thanks to a series of workshops hosted by Hambleton District Council.

Supported by the Federation of Small Businesses the sessions were offered to local businesses to help them prepare festive windows and displays that attract shoppers.

Helen Goodwin of ‘Made you Look!’ not only provided tips to achieve the wow factor, but gave ‘hands on’ help to retailers trying to put their own displays together.

“Great windows and displays can be achieved at very little cost and the businesses who came along are now equipped with the skills to create show stopping windows not just at Christmas - but at all times of the year,” said Council Leader, Councillor Mark Robson.

“We have great market towns and we want to ensure the retailers get the support they need to showcase their businesses to visitors and residents.”

Councillor Robson tried his hand at the ‘Retail Display Workshops’ held at the Evolution Business Centre in Northallerton – together with Director of Customer Services, Sandra Walbran, and Emma Smailes from the Federation of Small Businesses.
