6:41am 10th December 2013
More than two-hundred people have objected to plans to build a waste incinerator near Selby.
The planned site at Kellingley Colliery would use waste to generate electricity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Objections from people living around to the site include noise, dust and pollution as well as heavier traffic.
North Yorkshire County Council will look at the plans in the New Year.
