Pupils, teachers and parents at a North Yorkshire school are campaigning to get speed limits reduced outside their school.
The aim is to reduce the speed limit through the North Yorkshire village of Barkston Ash from 30mph to 20mph.
20’s Plenty for Barkston Ash arranged a protest to highlight road safety with village children.
20mph limits are coming into West York this month, says the school's head teacher Chris Power and he adds, Barkston Ash people want them too for better safety, reduced noise, less pollution and improved quality of life . Residents want limits without humps, adds Chris.
The children from the primary school made placards and a petition left at the school has been signed by parents.
The campaign has the support of Nigel Adams MP. He has been told of the protest.
