Woman Killed in A64 Tadcaster Collision Was From Leeds

A woman who was killed crossing the A64 near Tadcaster was 46 and from Leeds, police have told Minster FM.

Officers have released more details about the woman who was killed on Monday night but she still hasn't been named.

The A64 was closed for around six hours after the collision between the woman and a BMW at Bilbrough Top.

The woman driving the car was unhurt.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to te incident. Traffic Sergeant Yvonne Taylor, of the Force’s Roads Policing Group, said: “If you were travelling on the A64 around the time of the collision and saw either the woman who was a pedestrian or the BMW, I ask that you come forward and contact the police straight away.”
