Yorkshire Residents Invited To Learn More About NATO Defence
11:48am 9th November 2013
Today's a chance for Yorkshire residents to have a say on the country's defence and security.
"All Together Now?" takes place at Imphal Barracks this morning - and it's an open floor for the discussion of collective security, along with NATO's role in making this happen.
York Central MP Hugh Bayley is the chairman of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, and wants the public to know how vital their work is.
He said: "Europe faces continuing security threats, which is why we need a multi-national defence policy. I want to see more transparency in the work of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, and to engage with the public on how we secure ourselves against the threats we face."
"All Together Now" takes place from 10am to 12.30pm.
