It was reported on Sunday 27 October 2013, at a property on Grange Avenue, Staxton.
Police say the thieves stole a Joseph Bates long case clock, an oak bureau and phone table, silver salt and pepper sets, one of which features an elephant design, and two complete six place sets of silver cutlery. They add that they also took a silver plate rose bowl, silver teapot and a silver tray.
The value of the stolen items is around £8,000, say North Yorkshire police.
PC Louise Beck, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you have been offered any items matching the description of the stolen property, I urge you to get in touch with the police straight away.
“I am also keen to speak to anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the Grange Avenue in the days prior to the report and ask that they get in touch as soon as possible..”
