East Coast Mainline - Near Normal Service Today

east coast train

6:50am 29th October 2013

East Coast says it is expecting to operate a near normal service today, (Tuesday 29th October 2013) following the completion of the overnight engineering works after yesterday’s storm damage.

Network Rail has opened the line for London bound services.  They say the route is still temporarily blocked for services heading north out of London, which will require the first few services to be diverted.

Network Rail say that tickets dated for travel yesterday (Monday 28th October) will be valid for travel today.

They are asking passengers to travel as close to their original booking time as possible, and to bear in mind that services may be very busy.

Network Rail has apologised for the severe disruption to East Coast services yesterday and thanks customers for their understanding.

Customers travelling tomorrow should check the East Coast website or call National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50.
