It looks like politicians in York could come together in a campaign to get York's Outer Ring Road dualled.
David Cameron told Minster FM on his visit to York that the Outer Ring Road can be "like a car park" and said it's the sort of road which should dualled.
York Outer MP Julian Sturdy pushed forward the case to the Prime Minister and then city council leader James Alexander called on politicians to come together to get a slice of government cash which could pay for the project.
Opposition Lib Dem and Conservative councillors say they back the campaign - as long as the ultimate result is that the road is dualled and not just upgraded.
Hugh Bayley's office also says it's "highly likely" the York Central MP will also sign up.
Julian Sturdy says he also wants to get North Yorkshire council involved in the campaign.
