Hospitality and Catering students at top-performing Selby College are celebrating today after revealing that local firm Sedalcol UK will be the main sponsor of the college’s forthcoming Yorkshire-themed charity recipe book.
The book, entitled All the Best from Yorkshire, features a collection of recipes that celebrate the people, food and landscape of God’s own county with contributions from all walks of life including Michelin Star and Celebrity Chefs, Yorkshire businesses and local residents. Created in memory of a former Selby College student who lost his battle with Testicular Cancer in 2010, the book aims to raise more than £10,000 for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Managing Director of Sedalcol UK, Elena Frandino said: “Sedalcol UK is delighted to be supporting Selby College on the production of the All the Best from Yorkshire recipe book. We are keen to support local initiatives and worthwhile charities such as Yorkshire Cancer Research.”
Selby College Principal, Allan Stewart said: “Cancer touches so many people in our community and All the Best from Yorkshire is a tremendous way of raising funds to fight this terrible disease. The book has been produced thanks to the considerable efforts of many different individuals and organisations. We are especially grateful to local company Sedalcol who are generously supporting the project.”
