Two Women Attacked by Man in York

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after two women were assaulted in York.

The women aged 18 and 19-years-old, were walking home along Percy Lane at around 11pm on Monday 23 September 2013, when they were attacked by a man near the bridge over the River Foss.

Officers are investigating the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Constable John Phillips, of York CID, said: “This was an unprovoked attack and although the women were not seriously injured, they were understandably very traumatised by their ordeal.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw the assaults taking place or saw anyone running away from the scene of the incident, to come forward and assist with our enquiries.”
