York’s magical festive experience will return to McArthurGlen’s York Designer Outlet this November with ice skating at The Ice Factor, Christmas shopping, a traditional funfair, Santa’s grotto and two exciting new additions.

The Ice Factor, the North of England’s largest outdoor ice rink, forms the heart of Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland, and is open daily (except Christmas Day). With 900m2 of real ice, the picturesque ice rink is transformed into a winter wonderland village square complete with our gigantic 30ft Christmas tree and illuminated forest. For those who prefer to watch, our raised viewing platform offers the chance to soak up the atmosphere and get close to the action.

Situated right beside the rink is a new addition for this year. Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland has joined forces with PapaKitchen by PapaKåta, to bring you an amazing new rink side food and drink offering. PapaKitchen will be serving Scandi-licious treats, so why not come relax with us and tuck into winter warming soul-food, or enjoy a slug of Gluhwein whilst watching the entertainment around you. We’ll also be providing catering for those special party treats too, transporting you to the snowcapped peaks or the ice covered lakes of the Alps! For more information on the party packages available please visit the website.

This year see’s the launch of The Winter Adventure, a new and unique winter wonderland experience housed within three Scandinavian PapaKåta Teepee’s. The enchanted journey will take you from a cold winter’s day in York to the North Pole! Pass through the snow covered arctic complete with polar bears and penguins as you battle your way to the secret igloo. More details about The Winter Adventure will follow shortly.

And after a visit to Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland, why not pop inside to take advantage of over 120 leading designer and high street brands at up to 60 per cent less. And with free and ample parking, there’s no need to go anywhere else in Yorkshire for your fun and Christmas gift shopping.

Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland will be open daily from Saturday 23rd November 2013 until 5th January 2014, and is conveniently located on the A64/A19 interchange. Tickets for a one-hour session ice skating cost £9.95 for adults and £8.95 for children and concessions.  Discounts apply for groups of 20 or more and special party packages are available.  Further details are available at www.yorkshireswinterwonderland.com or by calling 01653 619169.

Booking for ice skating at The Ice Factor is advisable, and can be easily done through our online ticket shop at www.yorkshireswinterwonderland.com or through our Facebook page.
