York Shop Nominated For Store Of The Year Award
8:10am 24th September 2013
The Outfit store at Monks Cross Shopping has been nominated for Store of the Year 2013 in the UK-wide Outfit initiative and will find out if they have been crowned with the title on Thursday at an Awards Dinner in London.
The results of the Store of the Year award are based on a series of key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales figures, customer satisfaction, stock loss, profit and visual standards. Over the course of the year, which runs from September to the end of August, each store is marked on all the contributing KPIs and a league table keeps track of the leading stores. At the end of August the scores are analysed and the five stores in the UK with the highest score are nominated for the Store of the Year award.
Following the confirmation of which stores are in the top five they all receive several unannounced visits for senior members of the Outfit and Arcadia team who speak to all members of the store’s team including the store manager and sales assistants. The findings from the visits are kept a closely guarded secret so no one knows which store is going to be crowned Store of the Year until it is announced at the Awards Dinner.
Outfit at Monks Cross Shopping’s Store Manager, David Gunning said: “For Outfit at Monks Cross Shopping to have been nominated for Store of the Year 2013 and be in the top five stores in the whole country is a real feather in our caps. It is really nice to have all our hard work recognised and it has been motivational for the whole team.”
David will be attending the black tie Awards Dinner in London on Thursday 26 September to find out where his store finishes in the competition.
