North Yorkshire Euro-MP Godfrey Bloom has been kicked out of UKIP after making a joke about a roomful of women being "sluts" after a conversation about women cleaning behind the fridge.
Then came this encounter with Channel 4 News' Michael Crick.
UKIP leader Nigel Farage says his only UKIP MEP in Yorkshire should be kicked out of the party for his remarks and the party's chairman has followed his advice.
Godfrey Bloom tweeted earlier this afternoon saying:
"[I] Made a purposely outrageous joke among friends which was taken as joke by women present. It [should] not [be] taken out of context & misrepresented by a hostile press."
Last month the controversial MEP referred to "bongo bongo land" when talking about international aid.
